Since moving to London in 1980, Nic has been one of the UK's most in-demand drummers performing with, among others, Ian Carr's 'Nucleus', Ronnie Scott, John Taylor, Jim Mullen, Bobby Wellins, Mose Allison, Billy Cobham, Django Bates and John Parricelli. He was also a founding member of 'Loose Tubes'. He also played from 1984 to 1986 with 'Working Week' with whom he played on several European tours and recorded three albums. He worked with Bill Withers and, for several years, with Tanita Tikaram. Since the mid-1990s, Nic has played with Annie Lennox, Antonio Forcione, Ian Shaw, Christie Hennessey and with Tim Garland's 'Lammas'. In 2001/2 he toured with David Gilmour and guests Kate Bush, Bob Geldof and Robert Wyatt. He also played with Andy Sheppard, Babr Jungr, Nigel Kennedy, Terry Callier, Julian Lloyd-Webber and, in 2009, with Charlie Haden's 'Liberation Music Orchestra'. Since 2011 he's been playing for Charlie Wood & Jacqui Dankworth. In 2015 he began playing with Soft Machine covering for the great John Marshall and performing with John Etheridge's organ trio.He teaches at Goldsmiths College London, Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, Uppingham School and tutor on the National Youth Jazz Collective courses and summer schools. At the NYJC summer school performed with Dave Holland & Mike Walker.
